Coronavirus Updates & Information in the Legal World
By The Germany Law Firm
In the last month, our world has changed significantly and we want to highlight just a few major changes that you should be aware of.
- The Germany Law Firm, P.C. is open and working remotely to keep our staff and clients safe. We recognize that now more than ever is a VERY important time to make sure your future needs are taken care of. Please consider contacting us to discuss wills, trusts, and estate planning. This season of life is a difficult one but it will be much harder if something does happen to you and your plans are not in place. You can learn more on our blog at https://www.coelderlaw.com/news/.
- We also want to stress the importance of medical durable power of attorneys and advance directives especially right now. Many people are experiencing mild cases of COVID-19 but 20% of people are experiencing extreme and very difficult cases. If you are an individual who does NOT want to be placed on a ventilator, it’s important that you have an advanced directive and medical durable power of attorney with this expressly written and in your patient records. Family members are not allowed in if you are admitted to the ICU so it’s important you have these documents in place before you need them. Call our office today at 303-454-3711 to discuss this further.
- The Governor suspended the physical presence requirement. Due to the stay at home order, there has been a new process created for remote online notarization. This change allows us to execute wills and other various legal documents remotely. If you need assistance in this manner please email [email protected].
The Germany Law Firm, P.C. is here for you RIGHT NOW! COVID-19 has unfortunately brought many families to have difficult but necessary conversations and we are here to help you document those decisions to keep your future protected.
